GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
Created in 1998, Terror in the Dark is held annually around
Halloween time. The house is located in the Soule Building at the
Central States Fairgrounds in Rapid City, South Dakota. We have
a total of 12,000 terrifying square feet of ground for this
spooktacular event utilizing over 2,000 hours of volunteer time.
We scare aproximately 4,000 patrons and collect 2,000 pounds of
food for the Food Bank. We are the third largest producer of
canned food items for the KOTA Care and Share Food Drive.
There are two attractions at Terror in the Dark, the mainstay is the
haunted house. We also feature a spooky walk through pitch dark
maze called, Halls of Mayhem Extreme Maze. We are the
LARGEST Haunted Attraction in South Dakota!
